Cribratge de lesions precursores del càncer anal amb citologia en homes que mantenen sexe amb homes i viuen amb el VIH
Abstract
Nine clinical practice guidelines have been identified with recommendations for screening precursor lesions of cancer, however there was no consensus on the exclusive use of cytology, neither in frequency nor referral. Screening programs for cancer precursor lesions with cytology can reduce the incidence and prevalence of this cancer in MSM living with HIV. However, there are no cost-effectiveness studies carried out in our environment. The studies detected show contradictory results, limitations in the modeling and selection of parameters. Regarding the recommendations, there seems to be no consensus and the evidence is supported by expert opinions. Future studies should be able to fully evaluate screening programs.
