Evaluación del impacto bibliográfico de las agencias y unidades españolas de evaluación de tecnologías sanitarias
Abstract
To assess the impact, in terms of citations of scientific production of the
Spanish health technology assessment agencies and units (HTA Agencies).
Methods: we analyzed the scientific output of the HTA Agencies, both
through assessment reports, technical consultations and clinical practice guidelines
versus journal articles published between 2000 and 2006. We studied
their characteristics: document type, language, year of publication, medical
specialty of the journal, position of the first author of the Agency, impact
factor, financing, indexing in major bibliographic databases and the number
of citations received in the databases or search engines that have citation
indexes (Scopus, ISI Web of Science and Google Scholar). Subsequently we
analyzed the characteristics of documents using the example cited abovementioned
variables and the number of citations in the three sources of information
outlined above.
