Abstract
In vitro fertilization (IVF) is one of the most commonly used assisted human reproduction (AHR) techniques for infertility problems in our society. In order to obtain an acceptable pregnancy rate with IVF it is necessary to obtain multiple embryos, primarily via controlled ovarian stimulation (COS). COS consists of the administration of different drugs to stimulate the ovary for the production of multiple follicles. This report reviews the efficacy and safety of pharmacological treatment by EOC through IVF techniques and describes the characteristics of the treatments prescribed in the framework of the pilot test in the period between July 2009 and June 2010.
