Since 1996, the Agency for Information, Assessment and Quality in Health (AIAQS) has managed the Call for Clinical Research and Health Services. This has been aimed at filling knowledge gaps in our context and helping to make informed decisions within the health sector. With the aim of evaluating the achievement of these objectives and after a decade of experience, the Agency has promoted the ISOR project [Social Impact of Research], in order to evaluate the impact of the research financed in different phases. In the first one, a level of impact, the advance of knowledge, was analyzed, identifying the scientific benefits themselves, indicators of activity, quality, scope and structure / context. In a second phase, it focused attention on the impact related to informed decision making, one of the explicit goals of the Call, and the training of teams and institutions.
