Abstract
Psoriatic arthritis (APs) is a chronic inflammatory disease of the musculoskeletal system, usually seronegative (absence of rheumatoid factor in more than 85% of cases), associated with psoriasis. APs belongs to the group of rheumatic diseases called spondyloarthritis (or spondyloarthropathy) and has a wide variety of clinical manifestations. It can manifest itself with peripheral arthritis (virtually all patients), axial involvement, entesitis (inflammation in the area of insertion of tendons, facies and ligaments), dactilitis and affectation cutaneous and unguial. It may also present other extraarticular affections such as inflammatory bowel disease and ocular manifestations such as uveitis
