Abstract
Gout is a chronic, disabling pathology caused by monosodium urate crystal diposit (UMS) and the resulting inflammation of the articular, periarticular and subcutaneous areas. Associated clinical manifestations are recurrent episodes of acute arthritis, chronic arthropaties, tofus (accumulation of UMS crystals) and nephropaties (nephrolithiasis for uric acid or chronic nephropathy).
