Abstract
Chronic hepatitis C virus infection (HCV) is a public health problem of great relevance due to its high prevalence and severity, long-term impact Terms in the health of the population and associated costs. The progression of chronic infection can lead to long-term serious complications such as liver cirrhosis, carcinoma hepatocellular, need for hepatic transplant and even death. Additionally, it is a transmissible disease with a high risk of contagion in certain population groups.
