Generació d’evidència amb dades del món real en l’avaluació de tecnologies sanitàries: guia metodològica
Abstract
Under certain conditions, the process of Health Technology Assessment (HTA) ends up
concluding that there is not enough evidence or that it is of low quality. Once the knowledge
gaps have been detected, HTA reports end up providing recommendations on how to generate
the necessary evidence.
The functions of the Agency for Health Quality and Assessment of Catalonia (AQuAS) include
HTA and the management of access to the reuse of health data with the aim of generating
knowledge to improve the health of the population.
Therefore, it is considered that the conduction of this type of observational studies, which will
provide an answer to the detected knowledge gaps, should be carried out following
standardized processes that involve the development of high quality studies.
This document, for internal use, aims to guide the development of this type of studies in AQuAS
through protocols, checklists and templates.
