Coneixements dels professionals d’un Hospital Comarcal envers els incidents de seguretat dels pacients
Abstract
This is an observational, descriptive and cross-sectional study that aimed to identify the knowledge of professionals at a Regional Hospital about safety incidents and adverse events (AEs). An adapted ad hoc questionnaire was used as a data collection instrument. The results showed that 8 out of 10 professionals knew what a safety incident was, as well as 7 out of 10 knew the work of the center's patient safety commission. However, a low level of notification was observed, as well as a low level of knowledge of the notification tool. A low level of communication from the AEs towards patients and false beliefs regarding the impact of this communication were also found.
