Experiencia de un grupo de afrontamiento al alta en una unidad de rehabilitación hospitalaria
Abstract
The poster presents the experience of the Discharge Coping Group in a Hospital Rehabilitation Unit for patients with severe mental disorders. This voluntary, weekly group therapy space was designed to help patients reflect on their experiences, address fears related to discharge, and plan for the future. Between 2021 and 2024, participation increased (from 5 to 8 attendees per session), alongside greater thematic diversity, covering interpersonal relationships, future plans, support networks, and stressful life events. Results highlight its positive impact on group cohesion and patient adaptation, leading to its reconceptualization as a Experiential Space. Qualitative methods included clinical observation and post-session discussions, underscoring its role as a key tool in recovery-oriented care.
