Vacuna antigripal (vacuna G)
Abstract
Chapter 4.13 of the Manual de vacunacions de Catalunya. They are vaccine preparations made from antigens present in the circulating influenza viruses of types A and B that cause human influenza. The antigenic composition of these vaccines varies with the intention of adapting it to the changes experienced by influenza viruses. For this reason, the strains to be included are decided before each flu season based on the strains that were circulating at the end of the previous season. High-performance vaccine strains are developed using genetic recombination techniques, through classical rearrangement or reverse genetics. Thus, the vaccines are manufactured specifically for each campaign.
