Abstract
This document contains a summary of the presentation day of the SAM Report, Food Safety and the Media, held on 13 October 2008 at the Journalists' Association of Catalonia. It is aimed at the media, professionals in the sector and the public, and addresses issues such as food-borne diseases, microbiological, chemical and nutritional risks, as well as good practices in the handling and consumption of food.
