Abstract
Introduction: Healthy aging encompasses many aspects on which to act. As we grow older, there are physiological changes that increase the risk of dehydration. That is why we think that the importance of hydration in the elderly must be influenced. Objectives: CoP "Active aging" has designed a project that has the backbone of training aimed at the population and professionals with the following objectives:
- Training professionals and also the elderly for the dissemination of "Workshops 'Hydration for elderly people'.
- Developing educational material with basic pedagogical criteria and methodology that ensures homogeneous training.
- Have instruments for the collection of satisfaction data from the workshops for trainers as well as for assistants, as well as for the previous and subsequent knowledge of trainers.
Design: Accomplishment of sessions of collaborative work in person and virtual to reach the consensus of educational material. Carrying out of Workshops for the elderly and Training of Trainers aimed at professionals who have to re-energize them. Temporalization: 2017-2018, in sessions of 1 h / workshops and 2 h / Training. Results: There were 13 workshops for 355 seniors and 5 training for 36 professionals (social education, nursing, medicine, pharmacy, social work). The following educational material has been prepared: presentation, workshop, video-capsule, summary sheet, communication guidelines, advice leaflet, poster and evaluation surveys. Evaluation tools have been identified as a data collection sheet of Workshops and Formations made, surveys of knowledge and satisfaction. Conclusions: The implementation of Workshops in the population and Training of trainers has consolidated the applicability and homogenization of the material for Hydration in various fields, although it is adaptable to the population-professional characteristics. On the other hand, the identification of evaluation instruments will allow to obtain quantifiable results to measure the acquired knowledge and the satisfaction.
