Evaluación de la efectividad de los modelos de implantes de cadera y rodilla utilizados en el Sistema Nacional de Salud
Abstract
Monitoring the results of the implanted hip and knee prostheses models might be useful at clinical and economic levels and for patients. Additionally,
this monitoring could help to reduce the burden of revision of primary arthroplasties.
In Spain and specifically in Catalonia, there is not a systematically monitoring of the different prostheses models available. Therefore, in this framework the aims of this study are: 1) to assess the effectiveness at short and
médium term of the hip and knee prostheses models implanted in Catalonia
between January 2005 and December 2016; and 2) to identify those models
with possible worse results regarding those with the same characteristics.
