Abstract
The publication of the Vaccination Manual that is presented is the fifth since the Generalitat de Catalunya assumed public health competencies in 1980, and since then, fourteen vaccination schedules have been published, the number of illnesses covered by Immunization has gone from seven to fifteen and the range of vaccinations is no longer limited to children, but covers life. In addition to the systematics, there are vaccines that apply to people who present pathologies or behaviors that increase the risk of contracting some diseases, which is why new vaccination recommendations are constantly being updated that health professionals need to know to properly administer vaccines . This update of the Manual, like the previous ones, is intended to be a useful tool that facilitates the work of health professionals who recommend or administer vaccines in their care activity. The content of the publication has been attempted to summarize to a minimum its practical nature, but referenced bibliography has been added so that the reader can verify the scientific evidence on which the recommendations are based, following the current guideline line of clinical practice.
